Busy busy busy!

Such a hectic week but thankful that everything came to an end! So this week had been one crazy week for me with Wednesday being the lowest of all days hahahah. My trusty Samsung Galaxy S2 officially died me and I have reverted back to Samsung Ace courtesy of Shawn who generously donated this phone to me when I locked mine back in J1. hahaha. On Wednesday, I realized I lost my Ez-link card as well but lo and behold! Got it back on Thursday from the office with the same value intact! #faithinhumanityrestored

Have been religiously attending Zumba lessons with my friends this semester and I am excited to see the results at the end of the day hehehe. Flat tummy come to me!!!! It is made so much better with a small class sized, freaking cool instructor and all my friends! Really tiring but super fun. Maybe I should consider joining it outside permanently hmmmm.....

Spent my Valentine's day rushing around after Zumba with Roomie and Nurul and travelling back together!

Thankful for these 2 that made travelling in the jam and cold a much more bearable journey hahahah.

Rushed off to Er Jiu's house that night immediately too for our annual family dinner on the last day of CNY!

All whipped up by my uncle!!

Happy Sunday this week for me because I finally met up with my CJ girls for some good food and catch up! Wanted to have lunch at Food For Thought at National Museum but it was closed for a private event. Boo. But since we couldn't eat there, we spent our afternoon exploring the Total Defence exhibitions that they put up while waiting for Ruth! Really fun and cool!

All the real vehicles (?) there for us to explore and to take pictures with! Cool experience.

Us in the vehicle, ready for battle!! LOLOL.

Navy photobooth HAHA

Just Joce and I trying to look fierce and be ready for battle but Idk why did we look upset instead..
They also have this really cool tribal looking structure there that we guessed was a house. It was all interconnected and really and huge!!

They had all the different military defence aspects there up for exhibition including SCDF and Air Force, but we didn't get to check them out cos it was crowded :( And all the booths had like something for you to try. There was also shooting (!!!), face paint and stuff HAHA. Felt like I was back in NCC all over again when I see military related things hehe. Cos it was getting hot, lazy us decided to head back into the museum for some air con.

Our series of very failed attempts in trying to portray a happy family image HAHA

Although it was a simple exhibition, it was really eye-opening hahaha. The exhibition will be ongoing till 23/2 I think so do drop by if you are around the area. It is free admission anyway!

Finally met Ruth a while later and we decided to settle our lunch at Kith Cafe! The place was really crowded even after lunch hour and we had to wait for quite a bit before we got our seats. The food was really just normal in my POV. I had the mushroom aglio olio and it was far too oily for my liking. Didn't even finish it because every mouth you take just makes your lips so oily and the oily taste lingers. Mushrooms were nice though!!

If I were to ever go back, I will try their Breakfast set. Looks amazing and since Joce finished it and there were no complains, I am gonna take it that it was good. hehehe.

Post lunch activities were settled at Minds Cafe after hahaha. Good 2 hours of screaming and shouting and saboteur-ing each other hehe.
With my girls!!

Can't wait for our next meet up again with them!! Thank you for the great day! :) Only Monday and I am already excited for the weekends to come. So many things to look forward to at the end of this week!! Yay!

Happy Chinese New Year!!

Finally got time to settle down and properly blog about CNY this year. CNY is always one of my favourite festivals in the year cos it is just so festive and full of life! It is always nice to see everyone gathered around at one place and just catching up. Not to forget the amount of good food you get to eat every other day. Major love for CNY!!!

Like every other year, it is steamboat for our reunion dinner at my place. And for me who lovesss steamboat, I welcome it with open arms anytime! hehehe.

Reunion lunch!

Reunion Dinner!!!! steamboat

After reunion dinner this year, we decided to head over to my Er Jiu's house! This used to be our yearly tradition when we were younger but as we grew older it somehow stopped. I love visiting so it was great fun appearing at my uncle's doorsteps at 12am and being the first to wish their family a happy new year!! And plus, my uncle had recently added a new bunny to their house!!!! So adorable and so many funny stories to hear about this little ball of joy.
Cutiepie!!

On 初一, my relatives came over and it was one noisy and loud afternoon! Love this day because the house will always be so lively and everyone just gets together to have fun!

Overly excited us 拜年-ing to Ah Ma. We don't usually kneel that's why hahaha.

With Ah Ma! Just got out of the shower so looking really messy hahaha

My sis with Ah Ma! Ah Ma is moving in every single photo hahaha.

Our yearly tradition! My sis volunteered to cook this year because it is her last year spending CNY with us HAHA.
Lo Hei time!!

HUAT AHHHH!
Great time catching up with all my family members that we rarely see on a daily basis and it was really enjoyable!!

On the second day of CNY, my family had our own usual lunch outside. We usually settle for KFC...idk why KFC but it is like that every year. But this year decided to give fast food a miss because I was having a swollen gum throughout the week. Headed over to Bali Thai for lunch and it was such a disappointment. Maybe because we actually have had better Thai food at other places before so Bali Thai was just average.
Hahahah posing for #ootd with my handsome daddy against our festive living room lololol.

Visited my xiao gu on the third day of new year for an annual gathering! Another day of good food and laughter once again! Woohoo!!! Will be heading over to my ah yi's place later tonight for another round of gathering. Pretty excited because I haven't seen her in so long :)

GONG XI FA CAI EVERYONE!!!
HUAT AH!
